Teams: Controlling Incoming Calls
Need to forward your calls, or have someone answer while
you’re away? Want a special voice mail to play automatically when you’re out of
office?  Tired of a vendor calling you all the time trying to sell you a
server? .  You can accomplish all these things
yourself through the Teams app’s Settings:
 - In Teams on your
desktop, tap on your picture/initials and tap “Settings”

 - Tap “Calls” and make
your changes.  Once done, tap the X in the upper left to close
     (settings are saved automatically)

What do all these options do?
 - Call answering rules:  Choose what
happens when a call comes in (whether it’s on your desk phone or Teams
     app)

  - Calls Ring Me will let calls come in

   - Want to ring multiple
people? You can set “Also Ring” and add a person or cell phone that
receives your calls at the same time you do.

   - What happens when you
don’t answer?  Set “If Unanswered” to go to Voice Mail, a cell
       phone, or a person

   - Can’t get to the phone
quick enough?  You can adjust how long a call will ring before it
gets redirected (20 seconds is the default)

  - Forward my calls will send your calls
      elsewhere without ringing you

   - You can choose to send
calls directly to Voice Mail, to ring another person, or to be forwarded
       to a cell phone.

 - Voicemail: Adjust settings around
your voice mail, including recording a greeting and setting special “out
     of office” phone greetings

 - Ringtones: While these ringtones
are only for the Teams app (not for your desk phone) you can set special
ringtones for calls that are forwarded or made directly to you.

 - Block Calls: You can choose to
block calls without caller ID (sometimes a sign of a spammer), or manage a
number you originally blocked. If you need to add someone to your block
list, exit the settings panel and go to your call history list.  Tap
the three dot (…) icon and choose Block Caller.
