Switching Audio Devices in Windows 10 and Teams

Is your sound not coming through the correct way, or you want to use a special microphone?  You can quickly change which devices are being used for sound in Windows 10 and Teams.
Changing sound output for all applications (Windows 10)
  1. Make sure your headphones, bluetooth device, speakers, or external monitor is connected and turned on
  2. Click the small speaker icon next to the clock in your Windows taskbar
  3. You'll see a volume control, and a note about which audio device is being used.
  4. Tap the small up arrow, then select the device you want your sound to come out of
  5. Unsure which one?  Select the first device, then try changing the volume.  You should hear a quick chime each time you change the volume

Changing your audio device for Teams Only
From Microsoft:
  1. To select the mic, speaker, and camera you want Teams to use for calls and meetings, click your profile picture at the top of Teams, then Settings > Devices.
  2. Under Audio devices, pick the speaker and mic you want Teams to use by default.
  3. Under Camera, select the camera you want Teams to use, and see a preview of that camera's video.
  4. If you have multiple certified devices connected to your computer, you can set one as your secondary ringer, which means it'll ring when a call comes in. Answer incoming calls on any device—not just the ones that ring.
