Policy: International Travel with Gravis Equipment
An employee shall not take Gravis Law’s computer systems (which includes, but is not limited to laptops, cellphones, etc.) outside of the United States without advance written authorization from both his/her (1) manager and (2) the Technology & Innovation Department. Requests must be submitted using a request hub ticket. All such requests will be evaluated based on (1) whether the risk of potential loss of confidential data can be appropriately mitigated; and, (2) whether the employee will be able to work productively while outside the United States. Employee must submit the request sufficiently in advance of any travel so that the request can be reviewed, and if approved, the Technology Department can ensure that the computer system is up-to-date, secure, and uses an appropriate multi-factor authentication system.
If Gravis Law’s computer system is lost or stolen, the employee shall immediately contact the Technology & Innovation Department so that the computer system can be remotely wiped, locked, or otherwise secured. The employee shall immediately report any theft of Gravis Law’s computer systems to local law enforcement and shall provide all information related to that theft report to the Technology & Innovation Department. The employee assumes liability for the computer system and may be required to reimburse Gravis Law for any loss or damage incurred.
