Washington Notary Process

Washington Notary Process

To request to become a notary or renew an existing notary commission, follow the steps below. Refer to the attachments for additional instructions.

  1. Request notary from Legal Ops via a ticket in Request Hub.
    1. Request Hub will order your bond.
    2. You will receive notary bond certificate.
    3. Sign your bond certificate and upload certificate to ticket.
  2. Create/Log in to SecureAccess account at: https://professions.dol.wa.gov/s/ 
  3. Fill out application online.
    1. Pay for application and submit via online portal.
  4. Receive certificate and upload to ticket.
  5. Legal Ops will purchase a stamp and have it mailed to you.
