Clever Case Matter Filter Cheat Sheet (Creating an active case list)

You can use filters in Clever Case to extract information from matters such as: creation date ranges, status (open, hold, or closed), primary attorney, secondary attorney, paralegal, clients, tags and consultation status. You can use the following instructions to create an active case list for an attorney and/or a paralegal.

To create a list of all the open client matters that you are listed as Primary Attorney on, use the following steps: 

1. To begin, login to Clever Case

2. Navigate and click on "Matters" on the left-hand side pane.


3. Click on "Filters" in the right-hand corner of the screen. 


4. In the pop-up screen that displays you can select your filters: 


5. Under "Status" choose "Open" if you want to see just the active matters or leave blank if you want to see all matters. 


6. Under "Primary Attorney(s)", type your name to search and click on your name once it displays in the results. 


7. You can filter your search even further by filtering out the dates the matter was created, adding a paralegal or secondary attorney's name, or consultation status. 

8. When you are done with your selection(s), click outside of the pop up to display the results. 

9. You can export this list to a CSV file if you want by clicking on the file icon, in between "Clear Filters" and "Filters" button. 


10. Remember to choose "Clear Filters" when you are done. 
The Filters option is available for you to use under all the below categories in Clever Case and works in a similar fashion to the instructions above.
